Why go to college?

Philosophy of Financial Assistance
Our Purpose. It is the fundamental
purpose of our financial aid program to help all qualified students obtain a
Christian education at BBC. We do not believe our services should be
reserved only for those who can afford to purchase it.
Student Responsibility. While the College will attempt to assist you,
the primary responsibility for financing your education rests with you and
your family. If you and your family will do your best to meet your
financial obligations, we will utilize every resource available to us to
help you.
You
are responsible for knowing the academic policies of the College, for
maintaining your academic standing, keeping current on financial
obligations, and meeting all graduation requirements. The Registrar, your academic advisor, the
Dean of Students, and the Business
Office are available to counsel you, but the final responsibility rests with
you.
In-House Financial Assistance
Tuition Subsidies. Generous gifts from churches, alumni, and other
dedicated Christians cover approximately one-half of the cost of operating the
College and, in effect, constitute another gift scholarship. You will pay
between one-half and one-third of the cost of your education. Our charges
reflect this subsidy.
Grants-in-Aid.* Churches, alumni, and other interested individuals give
the College grant funds which are designated for assistance to worthy
students who have a financial need. These funds are grants—they do not have
to be repaid.

endowments and other scholarship sources.
Scholarships.* BBC provides scholarships that are offered on the basis
of academic or leadership qualities. BBC grants over $180,000 in scholarships annually.

at 1-800-893-7755. The deadline for applying for BBC financial aid each year
is May 1. More scholarships are available for those who apply
before February 15!
College Student Workers.* The College employs a few students on a
part-time basis in the library, cafeteria, offices, and in custodial or
maintenance work. Contact the
Business Office for positions available.
Eligibility for BBC
Scholarships
To
be eligible for scholarships offered by Boise Bible College, a student must:
-
Be
in good standing. Students on academic or administrative probation are not
eligible for BBC scholarships.
-
Meet deadlines for admission and/or pre-registration.
-
In
most cases, be enrolled full-time in a two- or four-year program.
Additional eligibility requirements will vary by scholarship, and some
scholarships require the student to submit an application for consideration.
See the BBC financial aid office for further details and requirements.
Payment Plan Options
Semester Pre-Payment Plan: You can save 3% of the cost of your
tuition, room, and board if you pay your entire semester's bill (tuition,
fees, room, board, and books) when you register for that semester's classes.
Monthly Payment Plan (4 payments): This plan enables you to spread
the cost of a SEMESTER'S tuition, fees, room, and board over a four-month
period. At registration you must pay a deferred payment fee and make a down
payment of two-thirds of the semester's tuition, fees, room, and board. The
balance will be paid in four equal monthly payments.
Failure to make a monthly payment will result in a one percent (1%) monthly
finance charge (12% APR). Failure to meet two consecutive payment dates
could result in dismissal from class, loss of cafeteria privileges, and
eviction from dormitory facilities.
Job Opportunities
You
may need to work part-time while at BBC. Jobs are available for those who
make a serious effort to find them but they often pay only minimum wage, and
public transportation is very limited in our area. Many stores, restaurants,
offices, and other businesses wish to hire BBC students because of their
good work records. Most afternoon and evening hours are free from classes to
facilitate student employment. The student dean often has information
regarding employers seeking to hire BBC students.
