Spring Conference
May 13-15

Conference is for all church members as well as those in leadership positions.
There is no cost to attend. (A free-will offering will be taken each evening.)

All sessions will be held at BBC, in the Dr. Charles A. Crane Chapel and classroom addition to the Library Building.

   

Conference begins Tuesday morning, May 13, and concludes Thursday evening, May 15.
Plan to be here for a time of spiritual renewal and encouragement.
Come and see the progress on our building program as we make more room to
train Christian leaders. You are invited to stay for graduation Friday evening.

Dr. Gary Zustiak

Keynote Speaker:

Dr. Gary Zustiak

Dr. Zustiak is director of psychology and counseling at Ozark Christian College, and adjunct professor for Lincoln Christian Seminary, Cincinnati Christian University and Central Christian College of the Bible. He has been in ministry since 1973, with an emphasis on youth ministry. He was director of youth ministries and resources for Christ in Youth (CIY) for seven years before joining OCC. Gary received a BA in Theology from Boise Bible College, an MA in Pastoral Care and Counseling from LCS, an M.Div. in Christian Ministry from LCS, and DM in Marriage and Family from Abilene Christian University.

Gary has had several books and numerous articles published, and has been to many countries on mission trips. He is a popular speaker at conventions, youth conferences and retreats. Gary and his wife, Mary, have three children and seven grandchildren.

Morning Speakers:

Tuesday: David Beamer, father of
9-11 hero Todd Beamer, will speak at the 8:30 am session, and present a workshop Tuesday morning. His message is titled It's Been 2,435 Days . . ..

Wednesday: Chuck McCoy, professor of Bible at Boise Bible College and regular writer for the Restoration Herald, will speak at the 8:30 am session. His message is titled The Power of the Faithful Church.

Thursday: Danny Harrod, professor of missions at BBC, and minister of the Drain, Oregon, Church of Christ will speak at the 8:30 am session. His message is titled Yours, Mine or Ours?

Daily Schedule:

Prayer Time — 7:30 am

Coffee & Fellowship — 8 am

General Session I — 8:30 am

Morning Break — 9:15 to 9:30 am

Workshop 1 — 9:30 to 10:45 am

Workshop 2 — 11 am to 12:15 pm

Lunch Break — 12:15 to 2 pm

Thursday:  No afternoon session. You may attend the golf scramble, the Ladies’ Tea, the Youth Event.

Wednesday:  Be the Church . . . Missionally (Matt. 28:18-20, Acts 2:42-47)

Thursday:  Be the Church . . . Generationally (Judges 2:10-12, Habakkuk 3:2)

Afterglow — After the evening service

Hosted by alumni. Stay around to renew old friendships and make new ones.
 

There will be a special program for kids ages 2 through 5th grades, each evening. (See information at the bottom of this page.) Parents need to arrive by 6:45 to get their kids signed in at Room 104. Nursery care will also be available each evening in Room 103.

Thursday, May 15

12:30 pm — Lunch and Golf Scramble — 18 holes at Foxtail Golf Course.

Cost is $50, including cart and sack lunch.

2-5 pm — Ladies’ Tea — hosted by BBC women students at the Paramount subdivision clubhouse.

Cost is $5. Transportation will be provided. Program includes speaker, craft, refreshments, and pamper session (Tuscan Spa, Mary Kay consultant, and personal shopper). To sign up, contact Yolanda Liebenberg.

2-5 pm — Youth Event for middle through high school students.

Hosted by BBC students. Cost if $5, including transportation, ice blocking and a trip to Goody's Soda Fountain and Candy Store. To sign up, contact Steve Naglak.

Friday, May 16

Commencement Exercises, Eagle Christian Church, 7 pm

All Week, May 13-15

Silent Auction in the chapel lobby area. If you'd like to donate an item, contact Joyce Anderson. Proceeds will go to the Alumni Scholarship Fund.

Kids’ Program

Kids ages 2 through fifth grade are encouraged to take part in the evening events. The theme for kids’
conference is Super Heroes for God. There will be classes for ages 2-3, 4-K, grades 1-3, and grades 4-5.
Parents, please arrive by 6:45 pm and come to Room 104 to get your kids registered.
Nursery care will be provided each evening in Room 103.
