Make A Gift to BBC

Boise Bible College develops well-equipped leaders for the Lord’s Church who engage the world and ministry with a biblical worldview, a servant’s heart and a life of integrity serving the church. We excel in preparing Christian leaders for all levels of church ministry. BBC is an extension ministry of the local church as we equip individuals for a lifetime of Christian service and our goal is for our students to remain free from debt so they can be free to serve.

BBC is a gift driven college. We depend on your partnership, prayers and gifts to help us accomplish the mission of equipping leaders for the church. Please consider making BBC a part of your personal and/or congregation’s monthly budget. The links to the right will help you decide how to arrange your support.

Our Development staff is ready to assist and support your congregation in many ways. We offer estate planning through a partnership with Financial Planning Ministries, our professors are available to preach or bring seminars and we are always looking for “preaching points” for our students. Please contact us if we can be of any assistance.

Support a Scholarship

Providing tuition scholarship assistance is one way donors can help students continue their education and prepare for ministry. Many of the scholarships at BBC have been formed and named to make strong statements about what the donors believe is important in ministerial preparation. Scholarships can be funded in estates, as memorial gifts, or as gifts during the donor's lifetime.

Our Development Department is ready to help you use your generosity and imagination to create and fund a scholarship or feel free to support one of these existing funds:

  • Cornelius Scholarship: Annually funded and awarded to deserving students who show strong leadership potential and exemplify the goals and mission of Boise Bible College.
  • Medal of Honor Scholarship: Awarded annually to a preaching major. This fund honors Bob Maxwell, and Oregon resident and recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor for his acts of sacrifice and service in World War II.
  • Presidential Student Aid: Annually funded and awarded to deserving students who show strong leadership potential and exemplify the goals and mission of Boise Bible College.

Gifts Through an Estate

There are three ways that donors can give to BBC through estate planning:

  1. Give through a will
  2. Give through a living trust, or
  3. Give through a charitable gift annuity.

Many friends have chosen to remember BBC as a beneficiary of their estate planning so that their contributions to the school continue even at their death.

In order to designate Boise Bible College as a beneficiary in your will, your desires must be made known in writing. You may designate a specific bequest, a percentage bequest, a residue bequest, a life estate, or a bequest in memory or honor of for special projects.

Other donors chose to form a living trust. In a living trust, you transfer ownership to the trust and you retain the right to move items into or out of the trust. Since you technically do not own the property, your estate avoids probate and can your affairs be settled quickly. We partner with Financial Planning Ministry who will form your living trust at no cost if you designate BBC as a beneficiary.

With charitable gift annuities, the individual transfers money or securities to BBC as part of an agreement that guarantees you a fixed income for life. In addition, you will receive a tax deduction and avoid paying taxes on a significant portion of the annuity income.

Give to the Building Fund

These gifts are used entirely as directed by the donor, but at the discretion of the college. The college is in the final phase of a construction project to expand its housing capacity. Designating your gift to the building fund will help us achieve that goal.

The north wing of the residence hall, a new chapel and a classroom wing were completed in 2007 as phase I of the project. This provided modern, secure housing and 13,000 square feet of teaching, worship and gathering space.

Phase II will be complete in September, 2014 when our new 12,000 square foot Student Center will be dedicated to those who gave sacrificially and totally funded this portion of the project. The groundwork and foundation for the south wing residence hall is laid, more students are coming and the time has come to complete the residence hall complex. Please consider making a commitment to help us finish this important project.

Fill A Specific Need

The college is seeking many new, or like-new, tangible items to use in the offices, classrooms, kitchen or dormitory. Individuals making a gift from our wish list will receive a non-cash donation receipt to use for tax purposes.

Financial Planning Ministry

For over 25 years, Financial Planning Ministry has removed confusion surrounding estate planning and provided stewardship opportunities to believers at any income level. Today, more than 10,000 families and individuals have benefited from this unique "stewardship through estate planning" ministry. Through their innovative funding model, Boise Bible College will receive much needed gift income support.

BBC sponsors Living Trust Seminars around the west. These events are promoted as a way to help those in your congregation leave a legacy gift to the church, BBC and other charitable organizations of their choosing. Contact our Development Department for more information.

Financial Planning Ministry is sponsored by BBC and other cooperating non-profit ministry organizations. We encourage inclusion of one or more of these Christian Church related organizations as a beneficiary by gifting a percentage (5% or more) or a generous "cash gift" from your eventual estate distribution. Complete instructions and a list of those sponsoring organizations is available on their website, www.fpm.org
